Each year, the festival begins at dawn featuring the live Benny the Bass who will either take the bait or not, predicting the coming of Spring, much like Groundhog Day. After music and fireworks at the kickoff to the event, festival-goers are encouraged to travel around the lake to experience good food, drinks, music, views, art shows, children’s story time featuring Benny the Bass, the Winterfest mascot, marina open houses, shops with specials, battle of the bands, or a parade! There is something for everyone to find for entertainment along the shores of Buckeye Lake on the last Saturday of January each year. We hope you come and enjoy the fun and find your way back to your favorite spots again another time!
