Fern ID Workshop at Boch Hollow

Interested in learning more about Ohio’s native ferns? Join Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Natural Areas and Preserves for an ID workshop of Ohio’s common ferns utilizing a key in a classroom setting. The workshop will guide you towards self-discovery using photo examples. Afterwards, we will take a short hike to see some of the evergreen ferns at Boch Hollow. Space is limited so please register by emailing naturalist Meghan Ellis at Meghan.Ellis@dnr.ohio.gov.

Participants should dress for the weather, wear shoes that are water resistant and appropriate for hiking. Please bring water and a snack. This event is great for adults and kids 10 and over. Please register by March 23rd, 2023. For directions or questions, please email Meghan.Ellis@dnr.ohio.gov.

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate; short length hike with easy terrain. Some slight uphill slopes.
