New Straitsville Moonshine Festival

Celebrate the "spirits" of one of the little cities of black diamonds in New Straitsville, located north of Logan in Perry County. This small town has big history. The legend of striking miners in the late 1800's setting fires in coal mines which still burn today is just one part of big history. The united mineworkers union was born in New Straitsville with secret meetings in Robinson's Cave but the really big claim to fame is "Straitsville Special". The only festival which, since 1971 has had a permit to make the product!. A fun, historic and "spirited" weekend.
