Athens-Hocking Solid Waste District

The Athens-Hocking Solid Waste District develops and implements management plans to assist in reducing, recycling, and properly disposing of solid waste in Athens and Hocking Counties. The District has 22 drop-off sites for visitors, residents, and commercial businesses to recycle paper, plastic, metal and glass to be recycled. Events, activities, and programs occur throughout the district to assist all to reduce waste and recycle. The district has a website with many resources and materials to educate the public and speakers on solid waste issues.
