Rose Lake
Rose Lake, also known as Fisherman’s Lake, is the Hocking Hills Reservoir. It is in Hocking Hills State Park and is easily accessible from State Route 374 via a 1/2-mile hiking trail. While swimming is not allowed at this pristine lake. Rose Lake is one of the best places in the Hocking Hills to cast your line. It is stocked with trout each spring. All you need is a valid Ohio fishing license. These are easy to acquire, and short-term, non-resident licenses are available. Boats with electric motors and paddlecraft are allowed at the 17-acre Rose Lake access is carry-in.
