The Boathouse and Campground at Strouds Run State Park

Located in the scenic Appalachian foothills of Athens County, just south of Hocking County, The Boathouse and Campground at Strouds Run sits on 161 acre Dow Lake in Strouds Run State Park. From spring to fall the boathouse rents canoes, singles and double kayaks, stand up paddle boards, swan pedal boats, and pontoon boats of various sizes.  Night crawlers are available for sale, cold drinks, ice cream novelties and other snacks are available too! The campground has 57 sites, two camper cabins, and a group camp. Sites do not have water or electric hook-ups. Latrines and water spigots are available intermittently throughout the campground. Reservations are taken for the group camp and two camper cabins only--regular sites are first come, first serve, using self-registration.
