Go for a Run

It's Indian Run weekend! Runners, walkers and hikers will wind their way through the Hocking Hills as they take in the beautiful scenery of the area. It's an event not to be missed. 

Have Festival Fun

If you're looking for some old fashioned fun, then get to the Mountain Heritage Fall Festival. Experience everything from crafters to axe throwing at this fun festival. Or go to Hocking College's Homecoming to experience lots of fun activities and football. Or experience Ohio's largest free airshow at Vinton County AirShow

Pick Your Pumpkin

Walker Farm officially opens this weekend! Have lots of fall fun, including picking your pumpkin, a corn maze and wagon rides. It's a great place for kids of all ages. 

Kayak Races

Have you ever seen kayaks race? You can this weekend in the Hocking Hills! See men and women test themselves in the water at the Pomeroy Regatta Kayak Races

Learn a Craft

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at basket weaving? This weekend, you can learn how to make a cookie exchange basket, and be ready for all of the cookies during the holiday season!

Go Back in Time

Did you know the Hocking County Historical Society & Hocking County Genealogical Society have six buildings that you can explore for free? From trying your hand at Morse Code to sitting in a 1900s school desk, there many ways to enjoy the past here. 

Go for a Hike

Do you want to take a hike to someplace different? And maybe have a bit more challenging hike? Take on the Backcountry Gorge Hike and explore the backcountry of Clear Creek Metro Park. 

Raise a Beer

Food trucks, beers and live music?! Does it get any better than that? It does when you can bring your favorite gear to show off to people that will appreciate it. Make sure to stop at Beers, Gears & Cheers

Make a Stop at the Farmers' Market

Get started eating local with a stop at the Athens Farmers' Market or the Lancaster Farmers' Market. And even better, you'll get the chance to shake the hand of the person that made your food.

Men at Work is coming to Bowen House. Enjoy the wonderful craftsmanship of these incredible artists. 

Hear Live Music

Enjoy the music of the Hocking Hills. Make a stop at Brewery 33, or Hocking Hills Winery hear great local music while also drinking local. Or go to the Bowen House for the Ohio University Lyric Duo.   

See the Stars

There's nothing quite like a beautiful starry night. And that starry night looks even better at the John Glenn Astronomy Park. Bring your whole family to marvel at the beauty of the night sky.
