Weekend Things to Do in the Hocking Hills - October 26-27
It's the perfect weekend to be in the Hocking Hills! The fall color is near peak and it's just gorgeous here.
Check out just some of what you can do this weekend:
Go for a Hike
The leaves are looking gorgeous right now, so this is a perfect weekend for a hike. Marvel at the beauty of Cantwell Cliffs or how those changing colors look against Rock House or any number of the other great hikes in the area.
Celebrate the spirit of Appalachia with Rural Ohio Appalachia Revisited. From wildlife presentations to pumpkin archery, there is a lot of fun to be had. Or explore the Middle Ages with Days of Knights. You'll be able to go back in time as these knights recreate significant events from the Middle Ages.
Have Halloween Fun
It's time to start celebrating all things Halloween. Looking for the creepy crawly? Get to Wicked Forest or the Sleepy Hollow Experience at Haunted Mountain for all of the scares you can handle. Looking for something for the entire family? Bring the whole family for the Hocking Halloween Campout. Or trick-or-treat with the animals at Muddy Boots Farm. Or see the Skeleton Horse make an appearance while your kids trick-or-treat at the Hocking Hills Market.
Go Back in Time
Did you know the Hocking County Historical Society & Hocking County Genealogical Society have six buildings that you can explore for free? From trying your hand at Morse Code to sitting in a 1900s school desk, there many ways to enjoy the past here.
Hear Live Music
Enjoy the music of the Hocking Hills. Make a stop at Brewery 33, or Hocking Hills Winery hear great local music while also drinking local. Or rock along with the talented students of Artista as they perform their Last Saturday Concert.
See the Stars
There's nothing quite like a beautiful starry night. And that starry night looks even better at the John Glenn Astronomy Park. Bring your whole family to marvel at the beauty of the night sky.
