Weekend Things to Do in the Hocking Hills - October 19-20
With the cooler weather and slowly changing leaves, it's a great time to get to the Hocking Hills.
Here is just some of what you can do:
Go for a Hike
It's time for the 40th Annual Fall Hike at Lake Hope State Park! Slurp up some bean soup and sassafras tea after a 3.2 mile guided hike. Or learn about one of the most unique locations in the Hocking Hills at Conkle's Creep.
Have Halloween Fun
It's time to start celebrating all things Halloween. Looking for the creepy crawly? Get to Wicked Forest or the Sleepy Hollow Experience at Haunted Mountain for all of the scares you can handle. Looking for something for the entire family? Then get to Walker Farm to pick out your pumpkin and enjoy lots of family fall fun, especially on Family Fun Day.
Go Back in Time
Did you know the Hocking County Historical Society & Hocking County Genealogical Society have six buildings that you can explore for free? From trying your hand at Morse Code to sitting in a 1900s school desk, there many ways to enjoy the past here.
See the Work of Artists
Men at Work is at The Bowen House. Enjoy the wonderful craftsmanship of these incredible artists.
Hear Live Music
Enjoy the music of the Hocking Hills. Make a stop at Brewery 33, or Hocking Hills Winery hear great local music while also drinking local. Or enjoy an intimate evening with Graham Nash Live. Or rock along with the talented students of ARS as they perform a Linda Ronstadt tribute.
See the Stars
There's nothing quite like a beautiful starry night. And that starry night looks even better at the John Glenn Astronomy Park. Bring your whole family to marvel at the beauty of the night sky.
