Weekend Things to Do in the Hocking Hills - May 25-26
It's another weekend full of fun things to do in the Hocking Hills!
Whether you want to get outside to explore or check all of the fun things you can do indoors here, there is a lot going on. Here's what you should plan on doing this weekend:
Go to a Festival
Since it is Memorial Day Weekend, there are plenty of opportunities for festival fun. Explore the rich Native American history at the Feast of the Flowering Moon Festival. Kick off Logan in Bloom with a celebration. Or raise a glass at the New Straitsville Moonshine Festival.
Raise a Beer
Food trucks, beers and live music?! Does it get any better than that? It does when you can bring your favorite gear to show off to people that will appreciate it. Make sure to stop at Beers, Gears & Cheers!
Go for a Hike
Did you know Conkle's Hollow is one of the most unique locations in the Hocking Hills? Go for a short hike with a naturalist during Conkle's Creep to find out why.
Stop at the Naturalist Cabin
Do you like turtles? Discover Terrific Turtles at the Naturalist Cabin this weekend. Or you will also have the chance to play some nature-themed games during the Nature of it All. Or Share My Campfire and listen to stories while you munch on some s'mores.
Pick Up a New Hobby
Have you ever wanted to try archery? This weekend is your chance. Meet the naturalist at the archery range. Bows will be available.
Make a Stop at the Farmers' Market
See the Work of Local Artists
Want to see some local art? The Can Do Creations Annual Art Show is here! This is a great opportunity to support local artists while also a local nonprofit.
Or go to Bowen House to see the different works of art by local women. Everything from paintings to jewelry will be represented at this show.
Hear Live Music
See the Stars
There's nothing quite like a beautiful starry night. And that starry night looks even better at the John Glenn Astronomy Park. Bring your whole family to marvel at the beauty of the night sky.
