19 times Hocking Hills nailed that winter wonderland thing

Your natural inclination, like many, is probably to hibernate during those long, dark and frigid months we call winter. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Hocking Hills is a great destination for winter activities like hikes.

Few things can be as clarifying and energizing as a walk in the woods where the crunch beneath your feet is from snow and not leaves. When your heart races a little more quickly, blood juts to your extremities, and the cold air in your lugs heightens your senses. When all around you, silence. When a blood red cardinal darts across your gaze, and its stark coloring against the white backdrop catches your attention. This, my friends, is heaven.

In case you needed proof (which you probably didn’t), here are 19 pictures that perfectly capture the Hills nailing that whole winter wonderland thing.
