Weekend Things to Do in the Hocking Hills - Apr 13-14

It's another weekend full of fun things to do in the Hocking Hills!

Whether you want to get outside to explore or check all of the fun things you can do indoors here, there is a lot going on. Here's what you should plan on doing this weekend:

Hocking County Ag Days

From a kiddie tractor pull to square dancing, there are so many ways to have fun at the Hocking County Ag Days. Get to the fairgrounds this weekend to explore all that is great about agriculture in our county.

Make a Stop at the Naturalist Cabin

There is so much fun to be had at the Naturalist Cabin! This weekend, you can learn all about amphibians. Spring is a great time for these critters in the Hocking Hills, so get all of your questions answered before going out to explore.

Go for a Hike

Did you know Conkle's Hollow is one of the most unique locations in the Hocking Hills? Join a naturalist for Conkle's Creep to find out why and explore this nature preserve.

Buy Something Unique

It's spring cleaning time at Jack Pine Studio! Get there for 20-50% off regular prices on items such as pumpkins, ornaments, hummingbird feeders and more.

Make a Stop at the Farmers' Market

Get started eating local with a stop at the Athens Farmers' Market. And even better, you'll get the chance to shake the hand of the person that made your food.

See the Work of Local Artists

Want to see some local art? The Can Do Creations Annual Art Show is here! This is a great opportunity to support local artists while also a local nonprofit.

Or go to the Spring Gala and Art Auction to help support some of our local artists.

Go on a Date

The Ridge Inn Restaurant is hosting Sweet Second Saturday. This is your chance to take the one you love on a date with live music and dinner specials.

Pick Up a New Hobby

You can check out the Second Sunday Beadmaking at the Ohio Glass Museum. Here you will find demonstrations and chances to try your hand at the craft.

Or try painting a wine glass! Don't miss this chance to create a spring-themed wine glass you'll love for years to come.

Enjoy a Musical

The Hocking County Children's Chorus is bringing Annie Jr to the stage. Cheer on our local performers as they take you on a journey with everyone's favorite red-headed orphan.

Hear Live Music

Let the music of the Hocking Hills warm you up this winter. Make a stop at Brewery 33,  Hocking Hills Winery or RockSide Winery & Vineyards to hear great local music while also drinking local.

At the Bowen House, you'll have the chance to hear the Klinder Quartet, and Stuart's Opera House is welcoming Patty Griffin to the stage.

See the Stars

There's nothing quite like a beautiful starry night. And that starry night looks even better at the John Glenn Astronomy Park. Bring your whole family to marvel at the beauty of the night sky.
