The spotlight feature is all the hot butter sweet corn you can eat. We have over 70 non-profit food and game vendors representing Central Ohio's finest civic, school, athletic, social and church organizations. Midway rides, corn eating contests, a tractor pull and live bands.
Naturalist Cabin "Open,” Naturalist's Cabin near Old Man's Cave Visitors Center; Hocking Hills State Park; St. Rt. 664 S; Logan; 740-385-6841; 2:00 p.m. Come to the naturalist cabin located behind the Old Man's Cave visitor center for a closer look some of the history of the area. All Caboose Train At Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, Nelsonville Depot, Nelsonville; www.hvsry.org; $25 11:00 a.m. On September 2nd, we will pull grab all of the cabooses that are privately-owned (as each owner allows at least) and operate our annual all-caboose. Usually we have about five cabooses in the train's consist. Departing the Nelsonville Depot at 11:00 a.m., the train operates to East Logan and return with photo run-by's (where everyone has the opportunity to de-train and photograph the train passing by before re-boarding) along the way. Seating is incredibly limited (each caboose holds no more than ten people; some are fewer than that), so be sure to reserve your seat as soon as possible! A great trip for any rail fan! Duration of ride: Approximately three hours.
